Final meeting of the EU project “Ride to Learn in Europe” in Ankara

Here we are at the final step of Ride to Learn in Europe project’s the final meeting co-funded by the Erasmus + Sports Action Program.

The meeting was held from 10th to 13th October 2019 at the headquarters of the Turkish “Sport for All Federation” (HIS) based in Ankara, which reports to the Turkish Ministry of Sport. The partners had been engaged in a program full of activities, including a meeting with the School Director of the Abidinpasa Mesleki Technical School in Ankara, the Federation’s local partner, which involved the students in the construction of Pedal Cars. Under the supervision of technical experts of the partners, the first pedal cars made up for the first time in Turkey had been tested. The foundations were therefore laid for the promotion of this sporting discipline which contributes to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, but also to inclusive aspects for the participating students.

At the end of the final session of the meeting, the partners decided – thanks to the great success achieved during this year – to start preparing a new edition even more extended to schools, to make our students meet and travel. The mobility of students and teachers will be a priority in new projects. To learn, discovering more about other cultures, to grow. The meeting held in Ankara was part of the European Union’s Erasmus day program ( #erasmusdays) and has also had resonance and visibility among the European institutional social channels.

In the upcoming days a questionnaire will be published on the Facebook page of Ridetolearnineurope project addressed to students, teachers and citizens on pedal cars and on the opportunities to travel and learn about Europe through European projects.
